BIG KIDS AMAZING RACE RULES AND TEAMS ANNOUNCED!

Big Kids Amazing Race 2014

The campers are split into 3 teams to compete in an Amazing Race competition.  Each team starts at a different station.  At each station they must complete a challenge to receive map puzzle pieces from the challenge leader.  Once they have completed the challenge, the challenge leader will give them the puzzle pieces that lead the team to the next challenge location.  Once the teams have finished all 6 challenges, they put all map puzzle pieces together that leads to the finish line marked with an X.
The team that finishes first will receive 4 points, the second team 2, and the last team 0.5 points.  There will be opportunities to gain extra points in each challenge, so the fastest team may not necessarily win!
There is a 20 min maximum time limit on each challenge, although the teams do not have to stay the whole 20 minutes at each station once they have finished the race.

MUD SLIDING CANCELLED and Tuesdays Revised Schedule

Hello:

We had to cancel the Mud Sliding field trip for Tuesday because of lack of drivers for the campers.  To make up a little for having to cancel, we had the Campers stay an extra hour for an Epic Super long "After Camp Activity" that made Milo flies like Superman!

Tomorrow we meet at 9 am and finish at or regular time of either 3 pm or 5 pm, depending on if the camper is in the After Camp Program or not.

Reminder to  parents about kayak trip on Wednesday. Campers need to arrive at cottage at 8 am.  Some parents indicated they could drive directly to kayaking at 9 am.  This fine but let us know if you are dropping your children off at the Cottage or meeting us at the Kayaking in East Dover.  More about the kayak trip tomorrow.

Here's the schedule for tomorrow:

Rare Tropical Fish Found by Camper!

Hi everyone;

A few years ago a camper found a tropical Barrel Fish.  Today another tropical fish was found my Camper Matthew in the somewhat  warm waters of St. Margaret's Bay ( 22 C).

We believe it is a young Flying Gurnard Fish. Its only inch or so long.

Perhaps Campers can research our little tropical fish and come to Camp and tell us all more about him or her in the morning.

Here's a photos of an Gurnard in its normal coral reef home:
