Schedule for Wednesday, August 20, 2014

Hi Everyone:

We had a "Fundy" day slipin' and slidin' in the mud in Maitland. Tomorrow we're off to Dover for kayaking.  Here's what to bring and wear:

Footwear---sandals are best (with an ankle strap like a Keen's or something), ideally not flip flops.  Old running shoes are often good as well.  Be prepared to get your feet wet getting in and out of kayak.  For on the island, something you can comfortably walk/hike on Peggy's Cove style rocks.

Swim type shorts work well in the kayak and on the island...being prepared to get wet always makes it easier.  A fleece type jacket and/or windbreaker  is always great to have as well.

Something to keep the sun off your head is necessary, and plenty of sunscreen.  A water bottle and your food, etc.  Generally all the stuff that the kids bring to camp for you probably....always great to have dry clothes for after.  Hopefully, we can get in for a swim on the island, but I don't recommend bringing towels out to the island...air/sun dry works best, and besides, then likely to get wet again on the boat.

Below is the direction and drive list:

Hello everyone:

Just a few notices before camp begins this coming Monday.  First off, I would like some campers arrive at 8:30 am and the rest at 9:00 am.  This way, everyone doesn’t arrive at once and it’s more relaxed and less rushed.  Here are the campers I would like to arrive at 8:30 am:

Lola
Adie
Emma
Connell
Emmy
Jackson
Skyra
If you find that 8:30 am is not a good time, no worries, coming at 9:00 am is fine too.  It’s just a suggestion.  All other campers, please come at 9:00 am.

One of our campers has a severe anaphylactic allergy to peanuts, lentils, soy and eggs. So please do not include these foods in campers snacks or lunch.

Tuesday is our annual field trip.  This year’s adventure is to the Oaklawn Zoo in Aylesford.  As in the past, we need volunteers to drive to the zoo.  Please let me know soon if you can drive your children plus perhaps a few other.

For those campers who attended the camp in 2013, the camp movie is now available and, if you bring me a 7 GB or greater memory stick, I will download the movie on it for you.

Finally I have included the camp registration and newsletter for those who may have not received one.

Thank you,

I.P.Y.N.C Staff

Scott was very happy that the goose that bit him on his school’s grade five class trip was no longer there too J We need drivers to Ross Farm from the Cottage.  If you can drive your children, and perhaps a few of someone else’s, this would be appreciated.  We will be returning to the Camp at 3:00 pm on Tuesday.  Below is our  schedule:
