Hey everyone,

We have had such a wonderful week with such a special group of campers, and we will all be sad to say goodbye tomorrow afternoon; but don't worry, we still have one more day of fun together before that. Here's a look at the plan for tomorrow:

Arrival and Sea Smoothie Making
Campers arrive and wash their hands, choose their sea-smoothie for the day with Arielle and Mikaela, put their lunches away, and head inside to check on the critters.  Camera goes to Evan.
9:30am-9:45am
Scott’s presentation
Slide show at the cottage.
9:45am-10:30am
Japanese Fish Art/ Big Dock Walk
Campers walk down to B.I.O. with their backpacks.  Half of the campers create unique prints with Arielle and Mandai while the other half go on the Big Dock Walk with Scott and Mikaela, then the groups switch.
10:30am-11:00am
Snack
Campers eat at B.I.O.
11:00am-12:00am
Beachcombing and Ocean Frames (Part 2)
Those who have enough treasures already can start gluing them on their frames.  The rest can search for more beach treasures, and when they have enough, they can return to B.I.O.
12:00pm-12:30pm
Lunch
Campers return to the cottage for lunch. Camera goes to Anya and Jesse (sharing J).
12:30pm-1:00pm
Bug Bistro
Campers dine on delicious mealworms, fried and seasoned to perfection.
1:00pm-1:30pm
Painting clay animals
Campers return to B.I.O. and add colour to their clay creations from earlier in the week.
1:30pm-2:30pm
Beach time
Campers have free time to swim and explore on Hermit Crab Beach.
2:30pm-3:00pm
Return to Cottage and Pick Up
Campers not registered in the After Camp Program are picked up with their T-shirts, clay creations, framed artwork, and IPYNC 2011 folders. Camera goes to Skyra and Addi (sharing J).
3:00pm-5:00pm
After Camp Program
Campers registered in the After Camp Program return to BIO for various activities.

Campers eat while Arielle and Mandai set up Japanese Fish Art

T-shirt Decoration/ Beachcombing at B.I.O.
One group does Japanese Fish Art with Arielle and Mandai, the other group has free time on the beach with Scott and Mikaela, then they switch.

Checking traps
Campers walk down to see what interesting creatures they have caught.

Lunch and Andrew’s Powerpoint
Campers eat while CPAWS photographer Andrew explains some basic photography techniques.

Nature Walk
A walk to a scenic new location.

Presentation from Shark experts
Our shark experts talk to the campers, and the campers ask their really good questions that they thought of yesterday.
10:00am-12:00pm
Four Winds Boat Cruise!
Cruise with Shark Experts Brendal and Jarrett – lectures take place in 2 groups and the group that’s waiting plays word games like telephone on the lower deck.  Bring snacks on cruise.
12:00pm- 12:45pm
Lunch
Campers eat and play human knot once they’re done.  Camera goes to Miriam.
12:45pm- 1:30
T-shirts/ Big Dock Walk and Farm Tour
Half the campers decorate T-shirts supervised by Arielle and Mandai while the other half use the microscope with Scott and Mikaela, then the groups switch.
1:30pm- 2:45pm
Nature journaling at B.I.O and Ocean Frames (Step 1)
Campers work on nature journals and then paint their Ocean Frames.
2:45pm- 3:00pm
Return to Cottage and Pick Up
Campers eat Sea Smoothie Pops. Campers not registered in the After Camp Program are picked up.  Camera goes to Emmy

Arrival and Sea Smoothie Making
Campers arrive, wash their hands, and choose their sea-smoothie for the day with Arielle and Mikaela, put their lunches away, and head inside to check on the critters.  Camera goes to Mitchell.
9:30am- 10:00am
Nature Journals
Campers change into swimsuits, grab their bags, and walk down to B.I.O.  Nature Journals are introduced, and campers create an entry about their first day of camp.
10:00am- 10:15am
Snack
Campers eat while staff set up underwater scopes.
10:15-10:30am
Underwater Scopes
All campers build their underwater scopes assisted by all staff.
11:00am – 11:45am
Clay Animals/ Big Dock Walk and Farm Tour
Half of campers work on sculptures with Arielle and Mandai while the other half go on the Big Dock Walk and tour the farm with Scott and Mikaela.  Then, the groups switch.
11:45am-12:30pm
Lunch
Campers walk back up to the cottage and eat lunch while watching the Shark Experts’ Movie.  Camera goes to Lily.
12:30pm- 1:00pm
Stormy Seas
Campers play a game of Stormy Seas on the cottage lawn. (Anthills will be marked!)
1:00pm-1:30pm
Ocean Frames (Step 1)
Campers grab their bags and walk back down to the boathouse and paint their ocean frames.
1:30pm- 2:00pm
Beachcombing
Campers search on the beach for small treasures to put on their ocean frames.
2:00pm- 3:00pm
Microscope and Nature Journals
Campers examine their findings from their beachcombing under the microscope and/or sketch them in their nature journals.
2:30pm-3:00pm
Return to Cottage and Pick Up
Campers return to cottage and eat Sea-Smoothie Pops.  Campers not registered in the After Camp Program are picked up.  Lily gives camera to Sydney.
3:00pm- 5:00pm
After Camp Program
Campers registered in the After Camp Program return to BIO for various activities.
