Hi All:

Below you'll find the first two clues we gave Monday and the final two clues given today for our camps Mystery Creature.  We'll reveal Camp 2's Mystery Creature on Friday.  Good luck!

1)           I am shy by nature and have thick lips and a big forehead.

2)          I am quite friendly as long as you don’t try to break into my home den, much like people in fact!

3)          Some say I have a face like a pooch and the body of an Eel. I can grow up to 2 meters in length and weighs up to 40 kilograms.

4)          I have one of the strongest mouths created by nature to crush hard shelled creatures such as sea urchins and green crabs.

BONUS CLUE:

The  first part of my name is a kind of wild dog.  The second part is named in one of the clues above!

Below is an Updated schedule for Thursday July 9, 23 and Tuesday August 4:

9:00 am:  Meet at Camp and travel to Wind Horse Farms (snacks on the way)

11:15 am: Lunch in the forest then swim in the River

11:45 am: Travel to Oak Island

On the  field trip, WHF has asked us to to wear our swimsuits under our cloths if you want to swim in the Lahave River.  Also they asked us to have our hands free, so we need only need to bring a lunch and in a backpack in order that we can freely touch nature :)

We are looking for parent drives for the field trip.  With out the parents, we will not be able to have this exciting field trip.

Peace, Love, and Jellies,

-I.P.Y.N. Staff

Thursday, July 9th, 2015 Field trip Schedule

Hi All:

We had lots of fun despite the weather not being as sunny as it was the first days of camp.  Lots of swimming, running around playing laser tag and learning the Smooth Green Snakes love to eat slugs and Campers love to eat caramel covered meal worms :)

Tomorrow is our BIG field trip to the Wind horse Farms and Oak Island,  We will be all meeting at 7 am at the Tantallon Superstore for a tour, smoothies and a snack before going to Wind Horse farms for 9;15 am. The last part of our epic field trip takes us to oak Island for a tour of the famous "Money Pit" and Bore Hole 10X.

All Campers need to pack a lunch and snack. The LeHave River is next to Wind Horse Farm and they suggested we should bring a bathing suit for a swim. They also mentioned that we all should bring a light backpack for a short hike.  They want us to have our hands free to feel nature :) There are ticks at the farm and everyone should do tick checks. However, the season is pretty well over, so it's quite possible we won't find any to invite along on the adventures.

Below is the list of drivers for the field trip.  We can always move people around if you like when we leave the Super Store at 8 am.

1.   Scott: James, Olivia, Isabel for a total of 4
2.   Katheryn. H: Milo, Will, Lauren, Grace for a total of 5
3.   Mary:  Mia, Adam, Graeme, Ryan, Elizabeth for a  total of 6
4.   Katherine. W: Miriam, Lily, Skyra, Connell: for a total of 5
5.   Hugh: Patrick,  Nate, Julian, Jess:Total: 5

Grand total: 25

Camp 1, 2015 begins Tomorrow!

Hi Everyone:

Less than a day until we start our 12th year of summer of camps. We are all very excited!  A few changes we have to report and reminders before camp 1 begins however.

Sadly, because of personal reasons, Nia regrets to tells us she will not be able to lead campers in fun yoga activities this summer.  We will all miss her sweetness, smiles and friendship this summer and, speaking for all of us at the IPYNC,  send her our love and best wish and an invitation for her and awesome son Carlos to visit us any time.

We have added a new member to our staff this summer.  Here names is Sadie Jane and she is an artist and art teacher.  She lives two doors down from the IPYNC.  Last summer Sadie saw and heard all the fun we were having at Camps from her home and can’t wait to help us create art together!

On Monday she will lead an art activity she calls “Bold With Pastels”.  Campers will experiment with pastels and learn various techniques as they create an East Coast inspired scene with colors so bold, they’ll POP right off your page!

To learn more about Sadie and her Sadie Jane Collection art events planned this summer, please visit her FB site at  https://www.facebook.com/SadieJaneCollection/info?tab=page_info

Sadie Jane
Finally, we are still looking for volunteer drivers for our exciting and varied field trip on Thursday.  We have not hard from all the parents so we're hoping you’ll let me know tomorrow morning.

Peace, Love, and Pastels
Scott
