Qualifications of a
Camp Counsellor include:
1. Completion of at
least grade 10.
2. At least one year's
experience working with youth.
3. Emotional maturity,
good character and integrity.
4. Enjoyment of the
out-of-doors.
Responsibilities of a Camp
Counsellor include:
1. Provide leadership
and guidance for day-campers ages 5 to 15.
2. Participate with
staff team in planning and carrying out camp program.
3. Cooperate as part of
staff team in working together for the well-being of the camp and campers.
4. Help set and carry
out the daily routines.
5. Supervise and
participate in water activities.
6. Participate in all
training activities that are required by the camp administration to assist with
skill development and camp procedure including time for pre-camp preparation
and orientation.
Assets for Camp Counsellor Job include:
