Hi everyone:

Camps, as of March 16, are now 85% filled with only a few spots remaining in Camp 3 and may be able to squeeze one more in Camp 1

Here are the Camp dates and times again that may have a few spots left:

Camp 1: Monday July 4th to Friday July 8th, 2016 for ages 5 to 12

Camp 3: Monday Aug. 1st to Friday Aug. 5th, 2016 for ages 5 to 12

If you or anyone you know may have a budding young naturalist that would like to attend the IPYNC this summer, please contact Scott for more information.

March Break Celestial Celibration- This MONDAY!

Hi everyone:

Join the IPYNC and Sadie Jane from Seaborn Art Studio this Monday for a cosmic adventure you won't soon forget! Special guest appearances Jupiter with two of it's moons, & thousands of stars!

Design a star map using gemstones & then create a rocketship to go with it! Then get ready for a tour of the Universe as we discover the night sky. Warm up to a delicious cup of Moon Dust, a slice of Starfruit cake after! To enhance celestial experience, seats are limited to 12. Pre registration is required. Please contact Indian Point Young Naturalist Club to save your spot.

2016 Camp Dates Announced!

2015 Camp 3

Hello:

Parents start earlier it seems planning their family activities for the summer so we want to announce the dates of this summers camp earlier too.

Registration between now and April 2016 is open to kids who have attended a previous year.

In April between 10 -15 new kids get an opportunity to attend camp for the first time. Parents of children who have not attend camp before are encouraged to contact us now as well to be put on a waiting list.

Here are the Camp dates and age groups ( updated March 13):

Camp 1: Monday July 4th to Friday July 8th, 2016 for ages 5 to 12

Camp 2: Monday July 18th to Friday July 22th, 2016 for ages 5 to 12

Camp 3: Monday Aug. 1st to Friday Aug. 5th, 2016 for ages 5 to 12

Camp 4: Monday Aug. 15th to Friday Aug.19th, 2016 for ages 12 to 15

Ecstatic Christmas Soul Jam

The IPYNC's good friend and supporter Suzanne Hollett, aka Suzanne Song Mother, will be holding an "Ecstatic Christmas Soul Jam" this coming Saturday, December 19 from 2 pm to 5 pm at the Upper Tantallon Shambula Center.

Children are welcome. Bring finger food. $10 or donation welcomed.

LifeScanner Results

Hi Everyone:

This past summer the “Big Kids” became Citizen Scientist by collect samples of creatures and recorded observation using the University of Guelph’s DNA LifeScanner phone app. Four of the results are in. Please visit the IPYNC Blog regularly for the rest of the DNA results.
