The Amazing Island Race Camp 3

Island Amazing Race 2025

Rules

The campers are split into 3 teams with a team leader to compete in an Amazing Race competition.  Each team and leader will start at a different station, and at each station, they must complete a challenge to receive a puzzle piece(s) from the challenge leader.

Once they have completed the challenge, the challenge leader will give the team leader the puzzle piece(s) and then team races to the next challenge location.

Once the teams have finished the six challenges, they will have all the pieces to complete a puzzle map; A small sticker, showing what they are looking for, on the map will lead them to the finish line.  All team members, including the team leader must go to the finish to complete Challenges and race!

The team that finishes first will receive 4 points, the second team 2, and the last team 1 point.  There will be opportunities to gain one extra points in each challenge, so the fastest team may not necessarily win!  There is a 15-minute maximum time limit on each challenge, although the teams do not have to stay the whole 15 minutes at each station once they have finished it.  There will be a bonus challenge for teams if there is a tie at the end of the race.

Scott Pelton, an elementary teacher and former naturalist, will be leading the fun. Each camp can have up to 24 kids, and with a 4:1 camper to leader ratio, you'll get plenty of attention.

You'll spend your days playing games, swimming, and doing creative projects. The camp runs Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM at 39 Sunset Drive, Indian Point, St. Margaret’s Bay. If you're interested, just give Scott a call at (902) 489-1926 or shoot him an email at [ospreys@eastlink.ca]. Don't miss out on the fun! 🌿
